Job Description

ROLE PURPOSE

Support to the Projects Compliance representative with regard to the following, in accordance with contractual obligations and the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Specification. 


MAIN OUTPUTS
  • Conduct Project Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) File audits, as well as Site audits and inspections
  • Assist to ensure that registered vendors / suppliers / contractors adhere to Project Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) Plans.
  • Verify Project Screening documents received from Project Managers and notify group OHS of high-risk projects.
  • Assist with the compilation of documentation for OHS Minimum Requirements submissions to OHS for high-risk projects, and remediate findings after these submissions are reviewed by, and received back from group OHS.
  • Assess and approve Project Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) Files and Safe Work Method Statements.
  • Conduct audits to verify adherence to controls implemented for Project Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) Risk Assessments.
  • Assist to ensure that all mechanisms, policies, and procedures relating to the Integrated Management System (IMS) are implemented that continual improvement, as well as the continual efficiency and effectiveness of the IMS is maintained.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS / KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

The Applicant must meet the following requirements:

  • Matric (Senior Certificate)
  • Valid SA Driver’s License
  • Planning experience and understanding of business processes
  • 3 years experience in Contractor Management and Project Management (advantageous)
  • Excellent knowledge of the IMS; Document Management System; ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, SAMTRAC or similar
  • Microsoft Office (Required),
  • SAP Knowledge 
  • SharePoint Knowledge (added advantage)
  • Knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental Legislation
  • IMS (Integrated Management System)
